Bakhtiar Talash

Senior Lawyer and Researcher

Bakhtiar Talash is a Senior Lawyer and Researcher with an MA in Anti-Corruption Studies and a BA in Political Science and Public Administration. He is a member of the Association of Certified Financial Crimes Specialists (ACFCS) and has more than 12 years of experience in local administration reform, rule of law and criminal justice system reform.

He completed a USAID project supporting rule of law and legal reform across all provinces of Afghanistan, including legal training for Afghan lawyers and judges. He also worked as an Associate Trainer with an Adam Smith International project for the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Kabul.

As a legal adviser with Tetra Tech-DPK on a USAID project, Bakhtiar developed comprehensive knowledge of Afghanistan’s legal and judiciary system. He is currently CEO of AlgoSoft, a software development company based in California.
