What this service covers.
- Conducting research on nationality assessment, including interviewing clients to help assess nationality-related issues.
- Analysing language and dialect features of Farsi/Dari, Pashto, Urdu and Kabuli Punjabi/Hindko.
- Considering pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, idiomatic expressions and patterns of language use.
- Where relevant, considering multilingualism, education, migration history, language contact and exposure to other languages or dialects.
Nationality and language assessment forms part of the wider evidential assessment. It is not presented as independently determining an individual’s nationality or identity.
